Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the hero of Thursday night when he scored a hat-trick to give Manchester United a 3-0 victory over St. Etiene in the first leg of the round of 16 clash between them in the UEFA Europa League.

The former Swedish skipper saw his freekick deflected into the blind side of the side of the St. Etiene goalkeeper to put Manchester United in the driving seat in the first half.

And after the interval Zlatan Ibrahimovic connected home a pass from Marcus Rashford who was introduced in the second half to make it 2-0.

Before he executed the coup de grace to give Manchester United a comfortable 3-0 win ahead of the second leg in two weeks time.

It was Zlatan Ibrahimic's 17th hat-trick in his football career for both club and country.
