Our football in not dead - Black Stars B management chairman

Black Stars B management chairman has stated winning this tournament only means Ghana is best league in West Africa. He also identifies lack of sponsorship and drive as major problems of football in Ghana

The chairman of the Black Stars B management committee, Mr Eddie Doku is of the view that Ghana winning the WAFU tournament means that football in Ghana has some vibrancy.

Mr Eddie Doku was talking to the Radio XYZ and he was very delighted with the fact that Ghana had come atop in the 2017 WAFU tournament.

The Ghana Premier League has gone without a title sponsor for two season and Mr Eddie Doku referred to that.

“People go about saying Ghana football is dead. I have always said that Ghana football is not dead but what we lack is impetus and sponsorship."

Mr Doku, however, alluded to the fact that winning this tournament shows Ghana is best league in West Africa.

“We have proved to the whole world Ghana football is not dead. We put all the best in West Africa and Ghana came out best of the best.”

"If it is anything to go by, we can say our league is the best in our sub-region”
