Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry will miss Thursday's game three against the Houston Rockets as he continues to rest his ankle.

Curry injured his right ankle during game one and has not played since, but the Warriors had no issues without him in a 115-106 win in the second outing to hold a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

The league's top scorer reportedly wanted to play, but head coach Steve Kerr was unwilling to risk his star.

Curry practiced on Friday and was hopeful of playing, but he may make his return on Sunday instead.

The Warriors will need the likes of Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to step up if they are going to beat James Harden and Co. on the road.
