Warriors star Stephen Curry to miss at least two weeks

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is set to miss at least two weeks after spraining the medial cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Curry suffered the injury during the first half of the Warriors' 121-94 victory over the Houston Rockets on Sunday as they took a 3-1 series lead in the NBA play-offs.

The Warriors confirmed in a statement Curry had a grade one MCL spain and would be re-evaluated in two weeks.

While the Warriors are on the verge of advancing, they are sure to face a tougher test against the Los Angeles Clippers or Portland Trail Blazers in the next round.

In order to not have too much of a dip in offensive productivity, the Warriors will need Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to step up.

Thompson will need to take over for Curry's shooting ability and Green will have to pick up the MVP's passing skills.

Curry averages 30.1 points, 6.7 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game this season.
