Son of Manchester United captain meets Barcelona stars

First son of Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney met some of his sporting heroes over the weekend in Spain.

Kai Rooney who is a huge football fan met with some of the Barcelona stars - Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar, and former Manchester United defender Gerard Pique who arranged the meeting.

"Brilliant weekend in Barcelona!! Thanks @3gerardpique , Kai had the best time ever and is a very lucky boy!!" Rooney's wife, Coleen wrote on Twitter along with a photo montage of Kai with the Barcelona players.

It seems she travelled to Spain with her son as she complained about her phone still being set in Spanish time.

Rooney and Coleen married in June 2008 after six years of dating and now have two kids - Kai born November 2009 and Klay Anthony, born on May 2013.

The couple is also expecting a third child. Rooney took to his Twitter account in July to that his wife is pregnant.

"Delighted that me and @ColeenRoo have our 3rd child on the way," he wrote.
