Ghanaian model builds well-resourced classroom block for Afuaman basic school

The state-of-the-art facility with a reading room, learning aids, computers, TV set, assorted toys, assorted bags and book boxes was constructed in partnership with her educational agency, Africa Literacy Development Initiative under the Victoria Michaels foundation which has paid particular attention to the educational sector tackling issues like payment of tuition fees for brilliant but needy students in various tertiary institutions for some time now.

The award-winning model narrated through her speech during the handing over ceremony of the new block that, the first time she visited the school she nearly came to tears seeing the deplorable state of the school and had to promise the headmaster of helping put up a new kindergarten block for the kids.

However, she was quick to point out that, the government can’t do it all and with the support of individuals, corporate organizations and the general public, we can all help build the best infrastructures for the future leaders.

In attendance at the handing over ceremony of the ‘Victoria Michaels Nest’ was the Deputy Minister of Education, Hon. Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum who advised the kids to take their studies serious so they can emulate and continue with what the likes of Victoria have done.

And, also the special guest of honour -CEO Footprint2Africa Barrister. Osita Oparaugo, chief of the community, heads of the school, teachers, pupils and members of the media.
