Volta Regime Music Group owner, Edem, has released his first ever monthly blog for enewsgh.com which focuses on the Ghana music industry.

According to the multiple award winning rapper, Ghana has no music industry including publishing houses, record labels, etc though he claims he owns a record label (VGRMG). His argument was based on the fact that, there are no proper structures or systems put in place to help Ghanaian artistes benefit from their artworks.

He further touched on artistes value in terms of charges on performances and who should determine that in an European structural comparison he made.

Thanks to his lawyer, he has come to understand that artistes are not supposed to collect 20 percent of the rate of the highest performer on any bill or platform they share. Which means, if Chris Brown was given the alleged 1 million dollars during his performance in March 2013, then the least amount any other performer on the night from the resident country should be 200 thousand dollars but he felt event organises are cheating Ghanaian artistes over performance fees.
