Vitiligo is a strange condition described medical experts as an autoimmune disorder and the cause is not yet known.

All along, when all the marriage preparations were underway, the couple were upbeat about the wedding ceremony. Then all of a sudden, from nowhere, vitiligo set in and Kandice’s skin began to lose its beauty.

She recounted that "I first noticed the white spots on my body when I was in college. I knew what it was because I had heard about vitiligo. But it never occurred to me that it could affect me this way, so I didn't even bother about it."

Trying to figure out what could have caused the condition, Kandice said "I believe stress triggered it. When I got stressed up I started seeing more prominent white spot on my nose. Then it started spreading all over."

She added that "At first people's stares made me feel very uncomfortable but now I look at them and just wave."

Speaking on Tuko TV, Mr. Benford advised her fellow women who might find themselves in a similar situation to "Be patient with yourself. You are stronger than you think!"
