“No matter how difficult it is, we will win this fight. We will reclaim our heritage. We will get the rivers of our country running again. We will reclaim our lands.”

The President made this known at a sensitization workshop for traditional leaders on measures to address galamsey in Accra.

Kwesi Pratt has since expressed admiration for the president following what he calls the bold statements he made against the illegal mining menace.

Pratt told Accra-based Peace FM that the country needs leaders such as Akufo-Addo who will fight for a worthy course irrespective of fears of losing their second terms in office as a result.
