Akufo-Addo is a lame-duck president – senior MP says

He said the president has failed on many occasions to take action against people who have offended the law or made ethnocentric comments.

“Nana Akufo-Addo carries the expectations of the people of this country. Sometimes I have a feeling that he is a man on a purpose but other times I have a feeling that he appears to be a lame-duck president,” he said on Joy FM’s Newsfile Saturday.

“I mean I can cite many examples of not acting,” he added.

The host of the show Samsom Lardy Anyenini drew his attention to the president speeches against corruption.

But Mr Fuseini responded saying: “I am not talking about saying. I am talking about acting. The executive authority.

He said the president’s anti-corruption speech must “be backed with action.”

“Leadership is not talking. Sam, leadership is not talking.

“I want the president to direct the Minister for Justice and Attorney General to prosecute the Delta Forces who invaded the court in broad day light and freed their people.

“I want the president to comment when somebody issues ethnocentric comments and say this is not part of my government.”
