Dep. Sports minister loses Dormaa West seat

Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports and Member of Parliament (MP) for Dormaa West in the Brong-Ahafo region, Vincent Oppong Asamoah, has lost his parliamentary seat to Ali Halidu of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Halidu polled 8,422 votes to beat Oppong Asamoah's 8,131 votes, according to provisional results from the Dormaa West constituency.
