Nana Addo is about to open 'cottage industry', not factory - Solomon Nkansah

He believes that the government is about to establish a “cottage industry” where the creation of products and services will be home-based but not factory-based.
His comments come in the wake of the announcement that the president, Nana Akufo-Addo will launch his flagship policy in Ekumfi in the Central Region.

A statement signed by the National Coordinator of the policy, Gifty Ohene Konadu, said the launch of the program will be in fulfilment of the president’s pledge to industrialize Ghana’s economy.
“The launch will include a sod-cutting to begin the construction of Ekumfi Fruit Processing Company Factory which will process pineapples for the local and international market,” the statement said.
But speaking on Accra-based Adom FM Tuesday, Solomon Nkansah said the policy was just to deceive Ghanaians.

According to him, he is a pig farmer and can even on his own open 20 factories across the country.

“I can open 20 factories to rival Akufo-Addo’s cottage factory; the NPP has deceived Ghanaians” he stated.
He further argued that the choice of Ekumfi which is the hometown of the late former President John Evans Atta Mills to kick start the programme is just for political gains.
