Court dismisses Afoko's injunction on NPP's conference

Presiding judge Justice Anthony Yeboah in his ruling indicated Mr. Afoko failed to show any irreparable damage to him if the injunction is granted.

 

An Accra High court has dismissed an injunction application by suspended Chair of the NPP Paul Afoko to stop an action which will lead to his removal at the Party's conference in Suyani.

Presiding judge Justice Anthony Yeboah in his ruling indicated, that Mr. Afoko failed to show any irreparable damage to him if the injunction is granted.

He also added that Mr. Afoko could return to court to seek redress if such a decision is taken.

Paul Afoko filed an injunction suit in court seeking to bar the NPP from taking any steps which will lead to his removal as chairman at the party's National conference in Suyani on Saturday.

According to Mr. Afoko his action is as result of information he has that indicate some executives of the NPP are to take a decision to completely dismiss him from the party at the said conference.
