Ghanaian defender gears up for Champions League game against PSG

John Terry did not train with his Chelsea team ahead of their game against PSG meaning Baba Rahman would have to battle Kennedy who has returned to training at left-back

The English Premier League Champions entertain Zlatan Ibrahimovic and co as they seek to overturn their 2-1 deficit from the first game in Paris.

Diego Costa, Pedro and Kenedy were present for the final training session ahead of the Champions League game on Wednesday but captain of the side John Terry was absent and has not fully recovered from his injury layoff.

John Terry’s absence means Ghana international Abdul Baba Rahman and Kenedy will battle for position at the left of defence for Chelsea.

Baba Rahman slotted in at left-back after John Terry’s injury but a mistake in the English Premier League game against Southampton saw him get replaced at half time.

Kenedy took his position in the next game against Norwich City but had to make way again for Baba after going off with a groin injury.

The Black Stars defender played the first leg game against PSG and did his best keeping Angel Di Maria at bay, earning praise from Chelsea fans and social media for his performance.
