Eric Ayiah wants to captain the Black Stars of Ghana

The youngster wants to progress to become captain of the Black Stars.

The Black Starlets striker is one of the most highly-rated youngsters on the continent following his impressive performances.

Ayiah was influential as Ghana’s U-17 side finished second in the Africa Under-17 tournament earlier this year, while he was also crucial in the Black Starlets’ quarter-final appearance at the World Cup in India two months ago.

Despite coming in for criticism following some close misses, Ayiah believes he can improve into a better player, saying he hopes to even captain the Black Stars in the near future.

“These criticisms motivates me a lot especially the bad ones. I just wantmyfanstoprayforme so I canprogresswithmycaptain’s band tothe U-20 andeventothe Black Stars,” he is quoted as saying in an interview with Starr Sports.

Ayiah has reportedly been a target of both local and European clubs, however, it remains to be seen where his next destination lies.
