Most Ghanaian club's are headed by indigenes and Noonan's appointment comes as the first non-Ghanaian to steer the administration of a major club.
He comes into the job with a vast experience in football management.
He was the Executive Vice President of Marketing of Major League Soccer (MLS). Major League Soccer is a men's professional soccer league sanctioned by U.S. Soccer that represents the sport's highest level in both the United States and Canada.
Noonan held this position for 4 years where he oversaw overall strategic marketing and branding for the League and its sister company, SUM.
He was also involved with the corporate sponsorship activities and broadcast initiatives as part of the MLS and SUM senior management teams.
Mark Noonan was introduced to the playing body this morning after training by team owner, Togbe Afede XIV.
