Cesc Fabregas will be playing at the start if next season after his three match ban following a red on Monday, May 18 was reduced to one.
The Spanish midfielder was red carded during Monday night's Chelsea away 3-0 defeat to West Brom.
He was sent off after aiming a ball at West Brom's Chris Brunt during a scuffle.
The FA have however ruled that the original three-match suspension was excessive
"A claim by Chelsea that the three-match suspension for Cesc Fabregas is excessive has been upheld by an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing," read a statement on the FA's website.
"Fabregas was dismissed for violent conduct during the West Bromwich Albion FC v Chelsea FC fixture on 18 May.
"The Regulatory Commission has reduced the Chelsea midfielder’s suspension to one match, to be served with immediate effect."
