This is good news for Manchester United fans as their number one goalkeeper, David de Gea is set to snub the interest from Real Madrid to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old has been reported to be ready to go back home to Spain to replace again Iker Casilas in Real Madrid.

The UK Sun however reports that the Spanish goalkeeper is set to sign a new two-year contract at Old Trafford.

The new deal according to the report is worth £200,000-per-week and make him one of the highest earners at the club.

De Gea has been the glimmer of light for underwhelming Manchester United as a superb season saw him nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award.
