Former Aston Villa striker now a full-time actor

Footballers retire and still stay in touch with game, either as a coach or as a pundit, but not John Carew.

The former Aston Villa and Norway striker is now a full-time actor with a number of appearances in movies.

The 35-year-old has now stared in another movie titled Hovdinger where he plays a gangster.

‘It's a fun and interesting role. I would compare myself with Will Smith and "The Rock" perhaps,"  Carew said.

The former Roma, Lyon and has already starred in two movies to date, Et døgn med Elin and Dead of Winter.
