The four-time African champions failed to finish top in Group D after losing 1-0 to Egypt on Wednesday night courtesy Mohammed Salah’s brilliant free-kick in the 10th minute mark of the game.

It means that Ghana will travel to Oyem to face DR Congo who were Group C winners and Grant believes his charges are ready for the Leopards.

"Congo is a good side and I know it will be a tough game but we will be up for it," Grant said.

Since the tournament kicked off, Ghana’second half performance escpecially against Uganda and Mali has never been the best but the Israeli tactician for once was happy with his charges’ second half display against Egypt.

"This is a game I think the team showed a lot of good spirit despite the fact that I rested a lot of the key players.

"I was happy because one of the things we are working on is mental strength and despite not scoring we came to the Egypt half and attacked several times," Grant said in his post-match reactions.
