The argument over who the best football player in the world is took another turn on Monday, a tragic one though when Indian Police confirmed a man has been charged with murdering his friend after a heated argument over Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo ended badly.

Police Inspector Kiran Kabadi said a murder offence against  Nigerian national and 21-year-old Michael Chukwuma has been registered over the death of 34-year-old countryman Obina Durumchukwu on Sunday in the northern Mumbai suburb of Nallasopara.

Reports indicate the two friends got together on Saturday for the deceased birthday party which ended tragically during an argument the following morning.
