The former AC Milan and Inter Milan player started the away game for his team and played 63 minutes before being replaced by Gosay Saad A Alshelali for his Al Ittihad side.
Muntari’s team could not run away with all points in the game as a late goal from home side Lokomotiv shared the spoils among the clubs.
Gelmin Rivas opened the scoring for away side Al Ittihad in the first half before Sardor Mirzayew’s goal a minute to the end of regulation time secured a 1-1 draw for Lokomotiv Tashkent.
