In the caption of the Instagram clip, Dr. Lee writes, I cant believe its not butter! And you wont be able to believe it either when you see the butter-like lava.

The patient in question is speckled with small steatocystomas all over their back. Dr. Lee tackles these growths by poking them with a scalpel to drain. And thats where the greasy melted margarine comes in. Once drained, the famed dermatologist then snips out the cysts sac to make sure the growth is gone for good. No one wants melted margarine festering under their skin, after all.

Steatocystomas are typically small, benign lumps that are situated under the skin and filled with sebum. Sebum is a yellowish, oily substance that helps lubricate the hair, skin, and nails, according to the National Institute of Health . So its actually not butter after all.
