Lack of good results during pre-season raised more doubts about his competence to succeed at the club. But with two matches played in the Premier League, Hearts have a dream start with six points, after nailing Medeama 2-0 at Tarkwa on Sunday through Dauda Cosmos and Eric Kumi's late strikes.

The win against the Super Cup champions is historic for Hearts and Kenichi takes full credit as the first coach to mastermind this famous victory over the Yellow and Mauves in their clashes at Tarkwa. However, Kenichi decided to heap full praise on his players for the good start and tags his players as intelligent.

"There is no magic. I think the only reason why we won our matches is because our players are coping so far. So it's all about the players and not about me. We watched the first half and we saw what was not working and what really worked so we changed our strategy between the first and second half and fortunately it went well.

"We came in with a specific plan but that plan was not working so we had to change, we had to adapt and again our players are very flexible and hardworking and intelligent enough to change the plan," he said.

Kenichi, a confident and strong character by his outlook, reveals that he is becoming a better coach and a person because of the pressure he goes through at Hearts of Oak.

"Definitely, I think so but I am constantly under pressure and am enjoying the pressure and it is making me a better coach and a better person.”

And with two wins out of two matches, Kenichi believes the jury is with the fans.

"The only thing that I can talk is the performance on the pitch so let them (fans) judge, not me. We will improve each day and each game," he reckons.
