The captain of West Africa Football Academy Gideon Waja has been linked with a transfer move to the Porcupine Warriors.
However, the manager of the said player, Mr Darlington has dismissed claims that Waja is on the verge of making a move to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Gideon Waja earlier had a decent season for West Africa Football Academy in the 2016/2017 season and Kotoko fans looked forward joining the side.
Waja’s inclusion would have been a boost for the side who look to compete in the next season’s CAF Confederations Cup.
Mr Darlington in an interview with HOT Fm said:
"Its never true that Gideon Waja has signed a contract with Asante Kotoko. Even as we speak, he is out of the country."
The last time Gideon Waja was seen was when he was having trials with Kuwait side Al-Qadsia along with Felix Addo of Elmina Sharks and Stephen Sarfo of Berekum Chelsea.
According to reports Waja looks to completing that move in the coming days. The only thing that is for certain is that Gideon Waja is not on the shores of Ghana at the moment.
