Students of Aburi Girls litter campus with used sanitary pads

A labourer who spoke on condition of anonymity said the management of used sanitary pads is a major challenge they are facing on the campus.

The authorities of Aburi Girls’ Senior High School in the Eastern region may be having challenges with the management of used sanitary pads by the student on campus.

According to Accra-based Starr FM, used sanitary pads were found on parts of the compound in the school.

The used sanitary pads were found around the washroom, at the entrance of dormitories and at the back of the washroom.

A labourer who spoke to Accra-based Starr FM on condition of anonymity said this is a major challenge they are facing.

Though the majority of the students are on vacation, some of them are still on campus. This may mean that more sanitary pads will be disposed of wrongly.

Meanwhile, the authorities of Aburi Girls SHS have refused to comment on the matter.
