An unemployed graduate of the University of Nairobi (UoN), Mursar Hajj, has sued the institution over his degree classification which he said is lower than what he deserves.

Hajj prayed the court to compel UoN to upgrade his Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the second class honors lower division which he was awarded to the second class honors upper division.

According to him, the current classification is making it difficult for him to secure a job.

He also argued that the university, against his will, decided to grade him using Political Science major and Psychology minor in 2012 and also classified his degree as Economics, Political Science and Psychology.

Justice Mumbi Ngugi asked him to serve the court papers to the university and fixed the 28th of September for hearing.
