A gang of armed robbers stormed the Kwabenya District Police Headquarters on Sunday dawn to free suspected armed robbers who were in custody.

The assailants shot and killed the policeman on duty, before freeing seven other suspected criminals who were being held in the cells.

The jailbreak has sparked concern among many Ghanaians, who believe the country is not safe with the assailants yet to be captured by the Police.

However, Deputy Minister for the Interior, Henry Quartey, has indicated that Ghana’s security is still intact despite the recent attacks on some police officers in the country.
