Will actor's HIV revelation land him in jail?

Apart from admitting to living with the virus for 4 long years and going to great lengths to keep the information under wraps, Sheen insists he kept his sex partners in the loop of his health status.

Following serious substantiated HIV speculations, Hollywood actor, Charlie Sheen has revealed via the Today show that he is indeed HIV positive but we cant help but wonder what this is bound to imply for the playboy.

According to his revelations while being interviewed by the show's host, Matt Lauer, apart from admitting to living with the virus for 4 long years and going to great lengths to keep the information under wraps, Sheen insists he kept his sex partners in the loop of his health status.

The 50-yr-old unapologetic play boy could have some big legal problems with the new revelation seeing as it is a crime for someone to have unprotected sex when that person knows he or she is infected with HIV, under the law in the state of Carlifornia.

The actor admitted to having multiple sex partners during the last 4 years, male and female included, and even though he says they were aware of his status, he could get 6 months in jail if he indeed had unprotected sex.

According to the law, anyone with a communicable disease who "willfully exposes another person" to said disease is guilty.

However, the stakes are higher if someone knows they have HIV and has sex with another person with the intent to transmit the disease.

It then becomes a felony punishable by a maximum of 8 years in prison, a position we hope Sheen would not be found guilty of.

Law enforcement sources say no one has come forward yet complaining Charlie exposed them to HIV.
