Bulldog’s lawyers frustrated by delays in Fennec Okyere's case

The lawyers adjournment followed the unavailability of the police prosecutor handling the matter.

An Accra district court has adjourned once again the case in which Lawrence Nana Asiama Hanson, aka Bulldog, Chief Executive Officer for Bull Haus entertainment is facing prosecution for allegedly murdering music producer Fennec Okyere.

The case which commenced three years ago has had several adjournments in the past few months due to the inability of the prosecution to provide the court an advice by the Attorney General's office giving directions on how the the prosecution should proceed.

The advice is said to be ready according to the prosecutor Chief Inspector Simon Apiorsornu during the last sitting of the court a fortnight ago.

He told the court the advice contained some codified information to which his superiors would have to write to the court.

According to him, the Police administration would have to discuss the said codified information and write officially to the court. The delay caused the lead lawyer for Bull dog Jerry Avenorgbor to ask for a discharge of his client for want prosecution.

Bulldog, was picked up by the Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) recently in Kokomlemle, a suburb of Accra, as a prime suspect in Okyere’s death in May 2014.

Bulldog has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and is currently on bail which granted by a Human Rights Court.
