Speaking on the KSM Show on Metro TV, the BET award winner said he is dealing with the wrong people that is why he is seen as arrogant.

Sarkodie has downplayed accusations from a section of the Ghanaian public that he is arrogant and stingy, saying he genuinely does not care.

He also dismissed claims that he is stingy, saying it is a social media creation.
He said: "In the beginning, i was like is that true?
"And then I'll double check myself, now I just got to realize that we are... the same thing that they complain, when go on certain cultures, it is not seen like that and I just realize that it is not wrong but I am dealing with the wrong people. "

According to him, Ghanaians find it difficult accepting people with opinions, saying he is a genuine person.
"My people can't accept people with an opinion... It is very harsh. It sounds very harsh.
"I am a very nice genuine person," he said.
"Like the stingy thing," he said, "it’s a social media thing so everyone hops on it then it starts to trend. Personally, for me I don’t care.

"So, what they are pushing you to do is to prove yourself that you are not stingy which I will never do. So, you’ll always keep that thing [that perception] in your head till you die and I don’t care."
Veteran highlife star Obouba J. A. Adofo is among a tall list of persons who have branded Sarkodie as arrogant.
