The “Anadwo Yede” hitmaker – who is legally known as Kaakyire Kwame Fosu – has announced his readiness to contest the Akuapem North Parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2020 general election.
Highlife musician KK Fosu is set to become the latest Ghanaian celebrity to join active politics as he announces his ambition to go to parliament in 2020.

Unlike actor John Dumelo, who will be contesting the Ayawaso West Wuogon on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), KK Kosu will go independent.
He told Ghana News Agency that he would contest as an independent candidate.
KK Fosu stated that the time was right to give back to the youth of Akuapem by empowering and inspiring them to attain greater heights.
"The youth of Akuapem North want me to contest for the seat,” he said. “…and I have decided to contest come 2020 and hopefully, I can impact on the youth by empowering them.”
KK Fosu added that he remained hopeful of impacting the youth of Akuapem North whom according to him are talented and hardworking.
So far, John Dumelo and KK Fosu are the only celebrities who have declared their ambition to become lawmakers come December 2020.
