The “YOLO” series star, who is currently in the UK with her husband, Medikal, for the 2021 edition Ghana Music Awards UK says she has come to realise that some Ghanaians hate progress.

According to Fella Makafui, Ghanaians hate competition and dislike it because it intimidates them and that the young suffer most from such hatred.

“I have come to understand some Ghanaians only hate on you when you are elevating!! They hate competition!! They dislike it because it intimidates most of them!! It’s even worse when you are young!! But anyways, I won’t dull my sparkle because of your feelings!” she tweeted.

She further stated that she is yet to achieve greatness and that she is proud of herself. Fella, who is known for dishing out random shades, said people can discredit her efforts and hard work, but it won't affect her bank account.

“Lol I’m not even where I want to be in life, but at my age and what I have achieved lol, all I can say is ‘Thank you Jesus’. I’m proud of myself...You can discredit my efforts and hard-works but as long as it doesn’t affect my bank account... We good!!” she said.

It’s unclear who she is shading or what prompted these tweets. However, this is not the first time she has fired indirect shots.

In a separate tweet, she said: “Even the Fake version of me is expensive!”
