Ghanaians hopeful as 2023 Grammys nominations are set to be announced

As fans prepare for the nomination announcement for the Grammy Awards 2023, Ghanaian music stars and lovers are hopeful for a possible nod in the prestigious ward.

With how far Ghanaian and African music has evolved, we might just some talented Ghanaian singer pick up nominations.

Comparing the eligibility period of the Grammy Awards and the good Ghanaian projects that have been produced, there are probabilities that those projects would be nominated for the prestigious award.

The recording academy confirmed that the full list of nominees would be announced on the 15th of November, 2022.

What is the eligibility period for the Grammy Awards?

The eligibility of the 2023 Grammy Awards has been confirmed by the recording academy to be from October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2022, indicating that all eligible projects must be released within this period.

The Grammy Award is a scheme that celebrates and recognizes artists across the world for their contributions and achievements through their body of work. The trophy depicts a gilded gramophone.

As we anticipate the nominations list tomorrow, there are a lot of potential Ghanaian artists who are destined to get to the doorsteps of the Grammy award and Ghanaians are betting on some new sensational artists to grab a nomination and possibly bring the ultimate award home just as their predecessors have done.

The Recording Academy will announce the nominations for the 65th Annual Grammy Awards live from the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live in Los Angeles and as part of Latin Grammy Week on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET. The event will stream live on live.Grammy.com and on the Academy’s Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok channels.
