The maiden edition of the concert occurred last year in December and had performances from the likes of Samini, Shatta Wale, Efya, Okyeame Kwame, Stonebwoy, Joey B, C-Real, Kaakie and Nigeria’s very own, Ice Prince.

Lauryn Hill To Headline BBnZ Live’s ‘Afrobeats Big Weekend Festival 2014′
BBnZ Live in collaboration with Accra Breweries Limited (ABL), has launched the second edition of ‘The AfroBeats Big Weekend Festival’ – and it is already boasting of a fantastic line-up!
Lauryn Hill, professionally known as Ms Lauryn Hill, will be performing at this year’s music festival, together with Ghanaian homegrown talents and Nigerian artistes. This year’s Afrobeats Big Weekend Festival, which will take place throughout an entire weekend i.e. Friday to Sunday, will feature different musical themes for each day. On Friday there will be an exclusive VIP party to officially launch the Afrobeats weekend, which will be hosted by Ghana’s finest celebrity DJs, followed by an actual Afrobeats party on Saturday, and on Sunday, a mellowed-down Acoustic event will take place. Sunday’s Acoustic set will be headlined by none other than the incomparable Ms. Lauryn Hill.
Accra Breweries Limited (ABL), producers of Ghana’s favorite beer ‘Club Beer’, are the official beverage sponsors of The AfroBeats Big Weekend Festival 2014. The dates for this event are Friday, the 12th, Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th of December, 2014. The venue is the Independence Square.
