Rapper Emmanuel Botchwey aka Kwaw Kese has explained why he dedicated his 6th studio album dubbed “Forever”to his late manager, late Fennec Okyere.

Addressing the media at “Forever” album listening party held at Classroom Pub on Friday, March 11, the “Yakubu” hitmaker divulged that, the reason why he dedicated the album to Fennec was due to his endless fight towards the betterment of Ghanaian artistes.

“Because I want the whole world to know that, Fennec’s legacy lives on. Fennec Okyere is one of the guys who started championing for the betterment the (Ghanaian) artistes. And we started charging good monies for shows,” Kwaw revealed.

He continued “It was his idea and he was the brain behind the prize tags added to awards. He started championing for the payment of royalties from GHAMRO (Ghana Music Rights Organisation).

“In fact, he fought so much for musicians that he got threatened on radio. So, such a person deserves an honour and it’s my honour to dedicate the “Forever” album to him,” Kwaw concluded.

"Forever" album features stars like Obrafour, Black Prophet, Sarkodie, Brymo from Nigeria, Stonebwoy and E.L. Hammer, Ball J, Skonti, Nature and Scoptic were also heavily involved in the production.
