Top 5 Ghanaian singers of 2019

As far as 2019 is concerned, the majority of songs released by Ghanaian musicians had vocalists featuring on them.

Gospel musician, Diana Hamilton

In an era where many artistes have ditched rap and turned to singing, it paints a clear picture of what sort of songs the fans are interested in.

The good thing, though, is that the increasing number of vocalists has not diluted the quality of singers we have in the industry.

Some are just born to sing and, as such, they do it so well that you can’t help but applaud them for how well they perform when in front of the mic.

Below are the top five Ghanaian singers of the year 2019 (in no particular order):

When it comes to females who do secular music in Ghana, none comes close to Adina Thembi at the moment.

The songstress has established herself in the industry in the last three years and it looks like she’s here to stay.

Adina’s voice, breath control and composure when performing live, sets her apart from others. In fact, not since the days of Efya in her prime, has Ghana seen such an exciting female singer.

Not only does she produce hits on her own, she is so blessed that any song she features on becomes a hit as well.

Joyce Blessing has been very consistent in the gospel music industry for many years now, and she continues to keep the fire burning.

The singer released ‘I swerve’ in 2018, which became a massive hit, gaining massive airplay on television and radio.

‘Repent’ which was released earlier in the year remains one of the biggest gospel songs, while ‘Adam Nana’ is a potential award-winning song.
