Terrorist escapes arrest in Yobe

The terrorist, who had the appearance of a lunatic, was about to be apprehended when he suddenly disappeared.

A suspected member of the Boko Haram sect is said to have narrowly escaped arrest at Buni Yadi town in Yobe State on Tuesday, March 10.

The incident is said to have occurred when the Commander of the 27 Task Force Brigade in Damaturu, Colonel Usman Yusuf was showing journalists around some communities recently recovered from Boko Haram.

The fleeing terrorist was believed to have been on a surveillance mission for the sect when he was sighted.

Colonel Yusuf however assured that the terrorist would soon be apprehended.

Nigerian troops recently recaptured over 30 communities which were previously under the control of Boko Haram.
