No fewer than 10 people have been killed in Bangladesh following a stampede that broke out during a Hindu ritual.
According to news agency, Reuters, the Hindu ritual is attended by thousands of devotees on the banks of a river near the Bangladesh capital of Dhaka.
Speaking with reporters, police official Mohammad Jakaria said all the victims were aged over 50 years, and 7 were women.
About 30 people were also injured in the incident at Narayanganj.
