Amidst choir and solo musical performances, the event attracted hundreds of businessmen, revelers, political figures and patrons of the hotel.
Speaking on the relevance of the 'Christmas Tree Lighting' event to Kempinski Hotel, Manish Nambiar, the General Manager said: "This is a tradition why have created over the last three years and it is our way of saying thank you to all the various people who have helped in our success stories in the year."
"We also use this event to get the community together and also spread the message of Christmas which is happiness", he added.

According to Mr. Nambiar, Christmas is an event for families, therefore, the also event was also a call to families to patronise the hotel during the yuletide.

Included among the dignitaries were Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, founder and President of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach, the Kaneshie Mantse; Nii Nikoi Asheley I as well as the Bubuashie Mantse; Nii Ashie Kumowuo II.
Music was provided by Kinder Paradise led by Mr. Julius Richardson, Accragio led by Madam Sarah Abotsi-Masters and the Lincoln Community School music choir.
