The Chief of Agric-Nzema, a suburb of the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi was alleged to have invoked the dreadful deity ‘Antoa Nyamaa” on some delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Afigya Sekyere East constituency ahead of its parliamentary primaries.

According to reports, Nana Boadu Nkansah Ayeboafo’s ‘Antoa spell’ was to ensure any delegate who received a GH¢500.00 bribe vote for his daughter who is an aspirant.
Abena Achiaa, a delegate from the constituency who confirmed this to Adom News said the chief invited them to his house and gave them the money.
Prior to that, she said, Nana Ayeboafo gave an opportunity to anyone who has no interest to walkout because he will invoke the deity on anyone who receives the money.

“I began shivering but I couldn’t leave because I was in dire need of money...,” she added.
Abena Achiaa said the situation has left her terrified and hence she is contemplating returning the money to the chief.
For his part, Nana Boadu Nkansah admitted invoking the curse on the delegates but with a fiat.
He noted that his action was to ensure the delegates don’t take him for granted.
Nana Nkansah urged the delegates not to panic if they stick to their promise of voting for his daughter.
