The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh Dompreh has said that former <a id="f2424c5b-7535-43c8-8db5-469f4fbaa860" href="https://www.pulse.com.gh/news/politics/npp-chairman-blames-mahama-for-causing-hardship-in-ghana/dnrrs1m">President John Dramani Mahama</a> is to blame for all the troubles confronting the NDC.

He said the ex-leader has become an albatross on the neck of the biggest opposition party.

“A lot of them (NDC members) cannot voice it out now, because he is the choice of the party now, unfortunately. He is their problem and they cannot do away with him and yet they know that when they go to war with him at the arrowhead they are going to lose,” he said.

Hon Annoh-Dompreh also said that if the NDC will be bold enough to discard Mahama, the better it will be for their party.

“In 2020, former President Mahama is not coming back, I am not a prophet of doom and not a soothsayer to see what will happen in the future, but for the few years I have been in politics, I am sensitive enough, my body can react to things that are happening. It is good for us (NPP),” he said.

President Mahama and six other contestants have filed to be elected as the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2020 general elections.

However some members of the ruling NPP thinks the NDC will be at a big disadvantage going into 2020 should they choose Mahama as their leader.
