Nana Addo’s ‘try me’ government has brought hardship to Ghanaians – Mahama

Former president, John Dramani Mahama

According to him, the Nana Addo government is untested and that is the cause of the hardships in the country.

Addressing some NDC delegates at Aburi-Abotakyi in the Akuapem South Constituency of the Eastern region, Mahama said governance is a serious business and not about “try me”.

He said Ghana needs an experienced leader like himself who has a track record of governance.

“At this moment, we don’t need someone who will want us to try him. It is the same try me try me mantra which has brought hardship into the country,” Mahama said, as quoted by Starr News.

“We need someone whom when NDC recapture power has track record and has the experience in governance to help improve the living standards of Ghanaians.”

Speaking on his bid to lead the NDC in the 2020 elections, Mahama said what the party needs is a unifier.

According to him, only unity can ensure victory for the party in the next elections.

“We need somebody who will be a unifier. We don’t need someone who will divide us. We need someone who will bring all of us together into the 2020 election. By God’s grace if we are united we will win the election,” he added.
