Parliament approves 11 ministers
The appointments committee, in a report to parliament, recommended that they are “approved by consensus.”

They include Sarah Adwoa Sarfo, Minister of State designate, the Office of the President, Public Procurement; Bryan Acheampong, Minister of State designate, Office of the president; Professor Kwesi Yankah, Minister of State designate at the Ministry of Education; Dr Nurah Gyeile, Minister of State Designate at the Ministry of Agriculture.

Reading out the report of the appointments committee, chairman of the committee, Joe Osei Owusu said the approved nominees were without blemish or criminal records.
In seconding the motion for the approval of the vetted minister-designates, the Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu said Bryan Acheampong demonstrated knowledge of IT, adding that he can be used in the delivery of a "paperless society" in the public sector.
He said professor Yankah was impressive although he disagrees with his politics, urging him to bring his expertise from the private sector to help the Akufo-Addo administration.
He said Nurah Gyeile, Minister of State Designate for Agriculture was impressive and that Kweku Kwarteng "was good with his economics."
