Reports say that the death toll from the accidental mine explosion in Ukraine which occurred before dawn on Wednesday has reached 32.
A statement from the self-appointed government in Donetsk says that one person still remains unaccounted for, Big Story reports.
The blast took place 1,000 meters (3,200 feet) underground at the Zasyadko mine in Donetsk, where bitter fighting has raged for almost a year between Russian-backed rebels and Ukrainian forces.
Accidental deaths are not new to the Zasyadko mine. In November 2007, 101 workers were killed in an explosion, while two explosions the following month killed a total of 57 people.
