The King Faisal owner launched a scathing attack on Gyan following the latter’s remarks on the penalty awarded to Ghana against South Africa last month.

The former Black Stars captain had suggested that Daniel Amartey went down too easily and that the penalty was soft.

However, reacting to this, Alhaji Grunsah tore into Gyan and went overboard by referring to his buttocks as bloated.

“The penalty was a penalty. Because he [Asamoah Gyan] wanted to control Ghanaian football and he didn’t have the chance,” he said on Asempa FM, as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.

"Look at how his buttocks have become bloated. Why should he be brought back to the Black Stars? For him to do what? FIFA is more sensible than Asamoah Gyan.

"If not for the Black Stars, who is Asamoah Gyan? Even ball boy doesn’t qualify to be in this current Black Stars."

Meanwhile, the football administrator has now rendered an apology to Gyan over his unsavory comments.

“I am apologising to Asamoah Gyan for describing his buttocks that way,” Alhaji Grusah said in an interview with Pure FM.

The Black Stars secured their place in the Qatar 2022 World Cup play-offs after beating Bafana Bafana 1-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium.

A first-half penalty from Andre Ayew was enough to separate both teams after Daniel Amartey went down from a challenge from De Reuck.

The penalty decision has, however, been contested by South African FA, who have since lodged a complaint at FIFA alleging match-fixing and match manipulation.
