Former Ghana Premier League top scorer Emmanuel Baffuor has joined Lebanese top-flight side Al-Ijtimai Tripoli on a year deal.
Baffuor arrived in the Lebanese capital with his Ghanaian agent Nana Kwarteng last Saturday and has started pre-season with his new side.
The 27 year-old forward has been away from competitive football since leaving Ghanaian side Ashanti Gold last season.
Baffuor in the 2011/12 league season took the Ghana Premier League by storm by winning the country’s top scorer award with 21 goals when he was playing for New Edubiase.
After that splendid display he joined South African side Mamelodi Sundowns but he failed to make any meaningful impact at Pitso Mosimane’s side forcing the club to terminate his contract.
