The Porcupine Warriors lost 1-0 to Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara stadium in a tensed encounter.

The game was marred by incidents of violence, with some Kotoko fans caught on camera throwing missiles at the referee.

One of the fans was subsequently caught up in the chaos, as he was reportedly hit by a stray bullet from the police.

Initial reports suggested the victim was in critical condition, however, Kotoko have stated that he is currently in a stable condition.

In a Twitter post, the club said the fan is currently responding to treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

“Our fan, who allegedly shot with a rubber bullet by a Police officer at the Baba Yara Stadium yesterday, is still stable and responsible to treatment at the Accident and Emergency Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi,” Kotoko said.

Meanwhile, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has condemned the violent acts and promised to deal with all parties responsible.
