Former Manchester United and France defender has referred to Ghanaian comedian Akwasi Boadi affectionately called Akrobeto as Ngolo Kante’s uncle.

Akrobeto has been trending since last week after his sports presentation on ‘Real News’ on UTV went global.

Akrobeto has a segment on UTV by named 'Real News', during which he presents trending news items with comedy to entertain Ghanaians.

Despite UTV being a Twi TV station, Akrobeto combines English and Twi as the medium of communication to his audience.

Akwasi Boadi during the foreign sports presentation pronounced the names of clubs and players in the various European leagues wrongly.

Chelsea’s skipper Caesar Azpilicueta sighted the video of Akrobeto’s presentation on Twitter and tried to mention his name correctly to the Ghanaian comedian.

Azpilicueta’s reaction trended for days and that paved way for a Spanish TV to gran Akrobeto an interview.

Akwasi Boadi also replied Azpilicueta and his other critics who are not Ghanaians that can they mention his name and other Ghanaian names?

Patrice Evra has fed into the trend, by referring to Akrobeto as the uncle of his compatriot Ngolo Kante as he shared a video of the Ghanaian comedian.

Evra on Instagram posted a video of Akrobeto reading out COVID-19 numbers and tagged Kante who was in action for Chelsea on Saturday.

““Finally we got the real #covid_19 cases ???????????? @nglkante can you come and pick up your uncle please”.

With over 7 million followers on the platform, Evra’s post drew loads of comments with most of them being laughing emojis.

Among the people who reacted are Chelsea legend John Terry, Patrick Kluivert and France international Blaise Matuidi.

Born November 1962, Akwasi Boadi was a founding member of the Kristo Asafo drama group, when the drama group was founded by Apostle Kwadwo Safo in the late 1990s, along with Agya Koo, Mercy Asiedu, Nkomode the group performed in the Key Soap Concert Party at the National Theater.

In 2008, he started featuring in kumawood movies. He is currently the host of the television show 'The Real News' on UTV.
