Elmina Sharks and under strength WAFA SC played out a goalless draw in Elmina, as a tight and cagey affair ended with both sides taking a share of the spoils.

The Academy Boys missed the services of four key players who were pivotal in the wins against Karela and Ebusua Dwarfs.

Sharks made their first changes after just 20 minute when defender Suraj Ibrahim went down injured and was replaced by Joy Fumador.

As first halves go, the opening 45 minutes of the encounter between Sharks and WAFA were rather tame.

Neither side managed to muster a host of clear cut chances, but nevertheless, there were still a number of talking points to mull over at the interval.

The home side made an unsurprisingly bright start to this fixture, as they mounted the first attack of the game in the opening few minutes. An early spell of high pressing led to the first corner of the game, and what should have been the first effort on target.

In the 53rd minute Tweneboah delivered s a powerful shot from outside the box but WAFA goalkeeper Acquah produced a quality save to deny the hosts.
